在某日，我遇見了一個新詞彙：Digital Garden

於是我開始用這個關鍵字在網路上搜索相關的資訊。從英文關鍵字搜尋的結果看來，這並不是一個非常廣爲人知的話題，用中文「數位花園」來搜尋，結果卻寥寥無幾，只有一篇知乎的文章完整地介紹何謂 Digital Garden。這個圈子在目前（2022 年 9 月）感覺不算是一個龐大的社群，所搜尋到的文章中，會相互參照彼此的文章。有「美國 PTT」之稱的 Reddit 上，有 Digital Gardens 板，目前大概只有 2.5k 的成員數，算是小規模的板

數位花園的定義

Joel Hooks 在「我的部落格是數位花園，而非部落格」一文中提到：

數位花園是比喻「在寫作與創作的過程中，重視過程更甚於結果」的思維 1

Anne-Laure Le Cunff 在「如何打造屬於自己的數位花園」說：

數位花園是在網路空間中，介於筆記與部落格之間的產物，讓數位園丁（花園的主人）在公開場合分享任何想法的種子。 部落格文章有發布日期，且隨著時間推移，內容可能隨之過時。 相較起來，數位花園永保長青，因為園丁會不斷修改、更新其筆記。2

整理

  • 寫部落格是一個將自身想法或經驗轉換的過程，從腦中的神經電子訊號中整理並提煉，透過轉譯成自然語言，形成文字並聚合成文章。（又或者你是圖文作家，用圖的方式呈現）
  • 然而，傳統部落格的形態裡，每篇文章都已經是完成品，也就是在花大量時間撰寫一篇文章直到發佈之前，這篇内容將不會公開為他人所知。如此的過程會造就出非線性的產出
